6 Practical Ways To Export

One of the obstacles that normally experienced by the businessmen is when their want to enter the export. Because they are ignorance about the steps that must be done prior to export. So often they are reluctant to start the export business step. To equip the entrepreneurs to be more confident, following some of information required prior to export activities:

1. Conduct market research on market potential in destination countries. Market Research does not need to be done by well-known institutions or consultants, funding with limited resources even market research can still be done. Visit the official sites (government and major institutions) which contains a number of trade and market potential destination countries. Make sure that the product will be exported has advantages over similar products that already on the market.

2. Contact and do not hesitate to ask the government and private institutions related to the export example NAFED, Chamber of Commerce, or the Trade Executive Attaché Economic Functions of RI Representatives abroad.

3. Learn and consider all regulations related to exports, ranging from administration, tax, custom clearance, distribution, etc. Find out if there are any special treatment from these countries to export certain products (eg: tax breaks, ease of customs procedures, etc.).

4. Each country applies specific standards related to products that are allowed to enter the market. Note that your product meets the established standards such as good quality, health, etc.

5. Make sure that the business partners in the destination country are entrepreneurs / distributor trusted. Ask for advice from the Embassy of the trusted business partner, through recommendations from experienced entrepreneurs as well as input from the local Chamber of Commerce (Chamber of Commerce).

6. Potential of foreign markets for Indonesia products is still very wide open. In addition to traditional export destination countries (America, Europe, Japan, etc.), can also be explored alternative countries such as the export destination in Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, etc.
